N(i)² showcases the N(i)² CMDB for EMC Smarts at EMC World, April 24-27 in Boston

Montréal (Québec), Canada - April 21st, 2006 - N(i)², a provider of IT Infrastructure and IT Service Management (ITiSM) solutions today announced it will take part of the 6th annual EMC Technology Summit where it will present the N(i)² CMDB for EMC Smarts, a next-generation configuration management database that offers customers greater visibility across their layered infrastructures.

The N(i)² CMDB leverages information delivered by Smarts Automated Analysis and Impact Assessment engine by synchronizing its data against an up-to-date IT infrastructure inventory, as well with non-discoverable information such as resources' location, cost, and change history- offering a complete representation of the IT environment. The N(i)² CMDB for Smarts provides IT services resource knowledge to efficiently respond to incidents, reduce problem resolution time and build contingency plans against costly system failures.

In exchange, the N(i)² CMDB greatly benefits from Smarts discovery capabilities with its ability to populate device configurations as well as Layer 2 & 3 topologies. The N(i)² CMDB is the foundation of The N(i)² Suite (4) business ITIL based applications that include Change Management, Infrastructure Management, Service Management and Asset Management.

N(i)² will showcase the N(i)² CMDB's fully integrated interface at EMC World 2006, EMC's premier user conference that attracts over 4,000 technologists from all over the world with a conference packed with keynotes, technical break-out sessions, hands-on certification, and in-depth technical discussions. Together, IT experts take part of sharing best practices, industry trends, future directions, and real-world practical solutions.
